Eye prescription OD & OS -.50. What does that mean?!

Question: Under spherical, both the OD & OS are -.50?
Is it bad? Am I going blind or what? I had hard time seeing from far!! I'm always worried when it comes to health issues.

Don't be silly, you aren't going blind.

-0.50 is the weakest correction prescribed normally.

That is just a touch of myopia, nothing to be worried about.

Wear them on occaissions where you feel they help you see better. You don't need them all the time.

OD is right eye. OS is left eye. This means that both of your eyes need the same correction. It isn't much so don't worry. If you are having problems seeing far, it will help clear things up.

-0.50 is nothing, barely noticeable.

I'm -2.50 in each eye, however, I've seen others that are much worse!

There is nothing wrong with your eyesight, and you are certainly not going blind!

You are not going blind. A -.50 is a very weak prescription. Someone that really has problems has a prescription of -10.00. The closer you are to zero the lighter the prescription. Your prescription is measured in .25 increments. Pretty much all you have is a slight problem seeing far away. This is very common problem. Please don't worry, I promise you are ok.
