Unfortunatly the risk factor for oder people is higher..just becuse younger people are still young and healthy and cells can quickly divide and provide new cells and etc....on the bright side....now that the technology is so advanced the risk factors themselves are low..very low

my mom had it done at 73, she was impressed with it, she got her perscription glasses to a lesser degree, and sees alot better now

she said there was a little pressure, but no real discomfort

my Mom recommends the proceedure to everyone who needs it

The eye won't have any problem healing with laser surgery. But at that age, you'd be better off just having your 'cataract' done. If you do the lasik, you'll see well for awhile, then when your lens gets a bit foggy, you'll not be in focus anymore and will need the surgery anyway. For 'older' people it's just not worth the $.

I don't know. But, you'll still need glasses for reading and the computer, because of presbyopia (the eyes become less able to change focus from far to near with age).
