Is reading a book as bad for your eyesight as using the computer or playing vide!

Focusing on one object for a long time can strain the muscles in your eyes the same was that doing the same weightlifting exercise over and over again can strain the muscles in your arms. It is a good idea to give your eyes a break. Just look around the room for a few minutes after about 20 minutes of focusing to help relieve the strain,

it is not so demaging providing there's a proper lighting for reading

Looking at anything for too long strains your eyes, making it dry. In order to make it less strained, every 5 min or so in what ever ur doing, glance around the room at further objects, so your eye can look at different distances, therefore exercising it.
