yep- if you have gonorrhea and masturbate , then rub your eyes you can potentially transfer to your eyes , which can lead to blindness if not treated. i think it started back in Elizabethan times
Rather than deal with children in an open and honest manner many adults would rather try to scare children into doing or not doing something that want them to do or not do. This is like "if you cross your eyes they're going to stick like that". And I hear this one alot even from eye doctors who should know better -- "If you don't wear your glasses your eyes are going to get more nearsighted." Or "If you keep popping your knuckles like that your knuckles are going to get HUGE."
