Contact lense question.?!

Question: I just got contact lense. I only use them for school. I got the ones that you dispose after 2 weeks. I used them the whole last week. Since it's spring break for 2 weeks, I won't be using my contact lense through out the whole 2 weeks. Can I Still use my contacts I used last week for another week when I go back to school? Or will I have to throw them away?

As long as you cleaned the lenses and put them in a clean case with soultion that is approved for storing(will say on he bottle or packaging) then you should be fine. When you take them out of your case when you go back to school make sure you clean your lenses good before you put them in your eyes and also I would suggest to rinse out your contact case with fresh soultion and let it air dry (again this is when you take them out of the case after you havent worn them in awhile) I personally would not store the contacts for more than 2 weeks as I left them in there for close to a month and I had a slimey contact and the solution had evaporated. I did not put them in my eye and ended up throwing them out.

as long as they are sealed tight in the case with fresh solution they will be fine

Your solution should be changed after 1 week even if you are not wearing them , then again the night before you are going to start wearing them again.

Yes, I have two week contacts and I just change them whenever one falls on the ground and I can't find it.. haha!

But it's fine.

I would suggest no longer than 3 1/2 weeks, though..

I wear the 2 wk. disposables also. It is okay to use them another week after spring break as long as you store them in fresh solution so they don't "grow" anything.

Once you open the packet with the contacts, you're not supposed to wear them again after 2 weeks. So it doesn't matter whether you were them, just whether you have been open for 2 weeks.
