Somehing really weird?!

Question: Well occasionally in my vision a transparent worm,I guess thats how I would describe it,appears in my vision, what is it?I have looked in the mirrior when this happens and nothing is in my eye and I'm perfectly healthy.

Then I have seen this spectrum of color,it starts out as blaches on the side of my vision but then turn into an arc.It actually blocks my vision on the side and has happened once with each eye.It lasted about 15mins,anyone know what it is?

Your symptoms are those of an ocular migraine or ophthalmic migraine. There's a spasm of a vessel in the occipital cortex of the brain (vision). It causes symptoms of sort of a zigzag line which can be colored or black and white, that forms an arc that slowly moves over one way or another and then goes away. The center is usually not visible but it just resolves by itself. They last about 20 minutes or so and are usually NOT associated with a headache, but some are the aura or prodrome of a real migraine with the pain, the nausea, the light sensitivity...

It'll be noted in both eyes at the same time, will NEVER cross the midline (cuz it can't), though you could have one on the other side at the same time(rare).

There are other types of sensory migraines too, such as olfactory (smell a burnt rubber or other foul smell), or auditory (hear a noise such as a truck engine).

No matter what you do, they last 20 minutes. No pills make them go away faster. They're not associated with any other diseases such as strokes or tumors or vascular abnormalities. One sort of learns to just enjoy them....

What you are seeing is called a floater, as it floats in the vitreous fluid. It may be caused by an injury or aging of the eye. It is normal to see floaters every now and then. However, if you ever have a flood of floaters or flashing, get to a specialist right away -- as these are symptoms of the retina tearing away.

I've had that happen too. I was once told by a Doctor that's just a little piece of hair crossing the surface of my eye (I was raised in a house with a lot of animals)

Oh, and be prepared for some Bible Fried Whack Job to answer this question with words that suggest you're "Demonically Possessed" or some such myth. Oh well, it's the risk we run for using Satanic Symbols as our Avatars =P
