How do I know if my contacts are inside out?!
Question: My doctor gave me new contacts - acuvue advance for astigmatism- because the ones I used before dried my eyes a lot. So the new ones are VERY soft and they roll all the time. The old ones weren't as soft and i could tell whether they are inside out because their shape would change a little but these look the same on both sides. Can you give me any tips on how to recognize them? Thanx

place them on your finger... if they seem to flare out around the edges they are inside out. i have the same contacts and the difference is subtle but enough to recognize. just flip them back and forth a couple times to see the difference. the one that makes a perfect bowl shape is the right side.
i would think you wouldnt see to good
if the are colored see what side is darker
and the way the holdon to your eyes which way feels beter
well if they feel better on one side than the other
usually if my contacts feel weird i flip them inside out and try again

if you put your contacts on inside out they will jsut fall out. they will not suction cup to your eye
if you can't tell and they still work comfortably, why bother
you should feel it if it's the right way.

before you put them in the guy at the eye doctor told me it would make a saucer shape ??? but i put them in my hand and there is a blueish lookin line that will appear around the top and that usually helps me

your contacts if really in reverse, the vison will not be the, for which your wearing-either hazy or blurred depending on the high power myopics- in simple very low power myopics there may not be much difference but the dis comforts may be felt more easily,also in choronic contacts wearers the corneal sensation not that sharpe like others , more than all the contacts do not fit cornea in reverse of the lens even in loe powered myopics.
