Whats it like to be colourblind?!
Question: my friend is colourblind. i asked him what it was like. but he obviously couldnt explain it because he had never seen any different.
does anybody know anything about it of have any images showing how colourblind people see.

My dad is color blind. If people ask him about it he gets really angry. There are different types of color blindness so it depends which one you have. Here is an interesting link... http://colorvisiontesting.com/what%20col...

Grey-ish. We see different shades of grey and call them "red" or "green."
Maybe WE'RE the ones who are right and you don't see the right shade of red and green.

They just see in shades of grey, lights and darks. The hues and tints are how they tell one thing from another.
its not exactly not seeing color at all but seeing it differently, like not being able to tell green and brown apart, or something looking blue but really being a purple, thats how i see anyhow but i ikinda know better, after awhile you learn what is what but i still get tricked sometimes, its no big deal really

i'm color blind but i see colors. i have a hard time telling close colors apart. they look the same to me. like an orange and a dark reddish yellow would be the same color to me.
Being colourblind can mean that you see shades differently for instance people often get red and green mixed up which means that at traffic lights. . .

My son is colorblind but there are different types of the affliction. My son can't tell the difference between some greens and blues.
Mostly it is men who are colorblind and they do just have trouble seeing red or green. Sometimes its pretty bad where they cant see any red or green but someone who might not be completely may see some red or green they may just have trouble with certain shades, but if bothers him alot (most people it doesn't bother them too much) they do have some contacts that fix the problem.
my mom had a coworker that was colourblind, they just have trouble distinguishing colours that reflect about the same amount of light, a test that they use is they make a picture of a giraffe using dots and tell them to differentiate between the colours, another test that I can think of is show them a black and white picture and them show them the same picture in color and ask them if they see the difference
well i had a friend who was colorblind, and he would get colors mixed up like red, and purple. they dont c in black and white, they just c different colors then we do. 1 time i pointed s2 something purple and asked him wut color it was and he said it was red.
Everything is black and white.
if they are partially colour blind. they can see certain colors and i dont know what thats like but to be complety color blind is almost like watching a black and white movie all the time...
