I have developed an eye problem which I need to have checked out very soon?!
Question: Last week I was rubbing my eyes as I was waking up with dry itchy eyes. Allergies have really got a hold of me in more recent months. The one eye was itching more and so I rubbed it upon waking and I agree this was not a good idea. About 3 days later I noticed when I looked to the side of my eye I now see a circle, but with broken lines. I only see this from my inner vision and not by looking into a mirror. When I blink my eyes I see a dark semi circle to the left side, somewhat like a lunar eclipse.
Any idea what this could be?

You may have an eye infection.
Rubbing eyes with the hands is a dangerous thing to do, because hands have more germs on them than almost any other part of the body, and the tender tissues around the eyes are fair game for germs.
Get to a doctor - just your ordinary one. He might prescribe antibiotic drops, and he may send you to an eye specialist if he thinks anything else is going on.
Your doctor can do a retinal check by dialting your eyes and see if there is anything pathological, but these are typically images of the retina which everyone sees but will describe differently. Some people see it as a circle, others as a shadow, some describe it as as bright spot etc.
