What's this thing under my eye??? Help!!!?!

Question: I always have this thing under or above my left/right eye (at least once a month)... It's like a sore... It's red and big... It hurts when I touch it... It's like I've been bitten by an insect, but I'm sure it's not coz I always have this since I was a child and it happens to me everytime... What is this???

I'm pretty sure it's a stye. And I'm pretty sure it looks like this:

Styes are bacterial infections that lead to the obstruction of oil producing glands around the eyelashes or eyelids. Styes are seen as small bumps on the eyelids. Styes (also called "sty") are usually harmless and will go away after several days on their own as your body fights the infection. There are some cases where surgical draining of the stye or the application of antibiotic drops may be required. To prevent a stye in the eye; always washing hands before touching the eyes and keeping good eye hygiene.

Eye Stye Symptoms

-Redness accompanied by slight pain and tenderness
-Swelling of a certain area which usually appears as a bump
-Tearing of the eye
-Discomfort when blinking
-Sensitivity to light

Eye Styes Treatment

-Apply warm compresses for several minutes 3 to 4 times daily
-Application of prescribed antibiotic drops may also be used to help fight the infection
-Surgical drainage of the stye may also be necessary if the stye is not responding to treatment.

i'm not sure what it is....but i think i know how to get rid of it. get some of those charcoal capsules that you swallow but open it up and put some of the charcoal stuff on a bandaid. put the bandaid on the affected area, charcoal is highly absorbant. make sure none of the charcoal gets in your eye, as it can be very uncomfortable.

Go to the doctor. I can't diagnose something like that

ooh, sounds sexy! Yeah baby, eye warts!

Im sure its NOT a stye. Its probly a chalazion and its caused by blocked eyelash folicles and what we recommend in our office is to wash your eyelid with baby shampoo and put hot compresses on it and message that spot. There is really nothing to do. Most people get them about two times a year even our OD here.
