Has anyone here had a secondary lense implanted in their eye?!

Question: Can you tell me more about it? Procedure?
How effective is it?
How long is the life of them?
Any other info?

Yep,both done. One done then the other nine months later.
Went to hospital lay on op table fully clothed, put stuff in eye and all i could see was very bright light, told to keep still,15 Min's later went home with a plastic patch over eye,had to go back next day, patch removed, went home ,eye a little sore but eye a thousand times better,20/20 now. They said it should last my life time.Four years on my eyes are perfect for sight.
Best thing that i have had done, very very little pain after op was done, never felt a thing having had both done.

Nope

I have had a cataract removed and a new lens put in. I imagine it is the same procedure.

Very straightforward. A simple operation, takes about 20 minutes, and I was very well looked after.

It is done in theatre. Your face is covered and the surgery is done through a hole in the cover. Just as in major surgery.

It is done by local anaesthetic, you do not feel or see anything.

I am really pleased with the results. I am not sure of the life time, but I would have no problem having it re-done if it became necessary.

I hope this helps.
