How much to add a plastic "saddle/bridge" to an existing pair of specs!

Question: An assistantant in one "highstreet" opticians told me it would cost just pence into the charity box.I did not have the 'uncomfortable@specs' with me at the time to test out her comment.

I usually charge a couple of dollars for them...they cost us 8.50 for a pkg. of 6...so that is 1.40 each. ( CDN or US dollars )

The extra 60 cents or so for the time it takes to install it and realign the glasses on the persons face it worth at least that.

I think is only a few pennies too
