Is this a harmful eye perscription?!
Question: well my eye care place ran out of 3.50power contact lenses and gave me 3.75, I am wondering if that will have a negative affect on my eye since it is stronger than my original perscription.

Don't worry , it can't do any harm...it would have been better to go lower than higher though.
It may cause extra tiredness in your eye before the end of the day because it is a bit strong, but no permanent damage.
I would ask for the right prescription, but 3.75 is not that much of a difference...
If it's stronger (by one step) it might have a little effect on the way it feels to your eye (a "pulling" feeling), thereby causing headache. If it is too strong after trying it for a few days (or even a day) then I would be sure to let them know. Usually at the office they have contacts for trail use, anyway, and then the patient can order the actual lenses once they know which power works best.
As far as damaginf your eye, I don't think it would....I really think that the only problem would be if it is TOO strong.
If the power is really a -3.75 rather than a -3.50, it'll make you have to do a little work to see at distance, but not much.
If it's a + power, then you'll be slightly nearsighted and distance objects will be a little blurred. But you won't get tired using those lenses. Might actually relax you a little.
