Wearing lower refractive power nearsight prescription glasses?!
Question: i have been wearing an older prescription for 3 years and definitely feel that my vision is not getting worst and actually a bit better in my own judgement.
because it seems that optometrists and eye doctors have different opinions so i decided to ask what people's experience are.
the internet is all too confusing and some websites even claim they can heal your eyes to perfect in 10 days, i assume it's a scam.

Yes, the eyes will have to strain to focus on the words when reading sumthing.
Sorry...is there a question in there ?
Do you mean you have a newer prescription, but have been wearing an older one ?
And yes...the other thing is a scam.
lower power for near vision should be the correct statement --or the type lens is lower refractive--- means thick glasses---it is only a suggestion 'on' to go for a high refractive index glasses so that the thick ness reduced--- with your statement i presume that you are around 38years of age you have not told about minus or plus sign of glasses you are wearing, for that age you reach a position of magifing the near vision, definate ly you need ---in case of existing myops in the beginning of presbiopia you may noy need --which should have caused confusion and your statement does not show how much you are satisfied about your prescription is called a 'subjective perscription'--- what your dr meant could be a 38 years old should receive, your-- opto metrist means is near38 years of age --not pessary --for your perception (seeing capacity) you must decide which is good for sight
