When I take my glasses off, why do I see everything blury?!

Question: When I get up in the morning, I see better. Well not as in "the best". I do need to wear glasses to read and see clearly things which are in far distance. After putting my glasses on for a while, when I take them off, I see everthing blury around me. Why? Wearing glasses making my eyes worse?

When you get up in the morning your eyes are fresh and strain free. Things may not be perfectly clear, but they aren't that bad. While you wear your glasses your eyes relax because the lenses are doing all of the hard work and focusing for them. When you remove your glasses your eyes are still really relaxed and it takes them a little while to realize that they need to work a little harder to bring things into focus. That is why it is blurrier than normal. Things should come back into focus after a while.

because u havent gpt ur glasses on

No, it's just your perception is different when you have been wearing your glasses and can see perfectly. The contrast when you take them off appears greater than when you have been without wearing them for a while - you just think it seems that you can't see as well.

No it is just a matter of the eyes taking a while to adjust the focus after taking the glasses off. Mine do exactly the same. You will find that vision without the glasses improves from the blurry afer a while,,,

because u get us to them...ur eyes
maybe u need to start wearing them more often

It's not a full answer but your eye adjusts to looking through that lens, when you take them off it's readjusting and getting back in focus. I don't need glasses but if I looked through yours for a minute or 2 it would make my vision blurry too when I took them off. Don't worry.

From your description, it sounds as if you're short-sighted.

You should visit an opthamologist and ensure that you have the correct prescription and the correct lenses.

When you take your glasses off..your eyes take time to adjust without them!

Try using a good eye wash before you get out of bed
of a morning, give it a few minutes before getting out
of bed.Things will be lots better if you do this.

Your eyes are just taking a bit of time to readjust.

well ur eye needs to adjust to the lack of magnification
