I really want glasses!?!
Question: This is probably really weird. I wear contacts and I have for 6 years. I never really wore glasses I had them but I didn't wear them. I just never felt they looked good on me. But now I feel like I really want glasses I almost get jealous when people wear them. I mean I want to still wear contacts but maybe wear glasses every now and then. I just don't know how to tell my mom I want them. I mean I NEVER wore my glasses and I don't have a clue where they are. So how do I tell her I want some now? And how do I feel comfortable wearing them if I get some? Thanks

Let her know that you are interested in glasses. There are a lot of medical reasons why you should have glasses. It is important to take a break from your contacts every now and then to let you eyes breathe. I mostly wear contacts but I have glasses for mornings, evenings, and days I just don't feel like putting my contacts in.

Go to Specsavers then, and by some that suit you! Duh!!
glasses aren't that great unless ur wearing shades like me lol
best off with staying with contacts and just buy some fashion glasses i.e. ones which dont affect your sight - where the lens has no power etc etc. Like the ones actors wear.
Just ask her or be like " glasses are really in this season can i get a pair" or I dont know. You'll get used to it in a day.
If she has insurance on you for vision,you need to do it before you turn 18,cause then it will be expensive.
And it doesn't hurt to admit you were irresponsible with the old pair.
Glasses cost a great deal of money. I can just imagine how miffed I would be if I had bought a pair for my child who then NEVER wore them and doesn't even know their whereabouts. Presumably your mother now pays for your contacts too which aren't cheap either but now you want a pair of glasses even though, by your own admission, you never felt they looked good on you in the first place. Think yourself lucky your mother has been patient with you up until now. If I were her and I found your discarded specs I would be tempted to wrap them round your fickle, spoilt neck!
just wear your contacs, and go to claires or something and buy a pair of fake glasses
