The biggest cause of dry eyes is contact lens wear! Most people that wear contacts experience dry eyes, whether they know it or not.

You can get some really good over the counter rewetting drops...I personally like Systane and Refresh. You can't ever overuse preservative free rewetting drops, so go for it.

well my mom sometimes gets dry eyes and she wears contacts...i can't really answer your question, though...sorry : (

It is a condition where the eyes are not hydrated enough due to improper tear production.

no

if you have dry eyes
you will be able too feel it
and if the contacts are dry or a bad brand then yess

the contact material will wick away moisture faster than a normal bare eye. my (new) optometrist said you should always use drop when you have your contacts in. my old ones never mentioned them as a part of daily life...more as needed...now i have little fat deposites (called chalazions) due to years of having dry eyes.

visine. XD

not sure how old you are but some poeple have a problem with dry eyes. it doesnt matter if you wear contacts or not. if you consistantly have that problem you can buy some drops over the counter to help keep your eyes wet.

The drops are called "refresh".. they also have Refresh plus which are longer lasting.

You know that you have dry eyes when your eyes are uncomfortable and dry feeling. Yes you can get dry eyes while wearing contacts and are actually more prone to dry eyes when wearing contacts.

In order to relieve dry eyes there are many different types of eye drops available over the counter.

Dry eyes is the most common problem we see in our office, especially if you wear contacts. If you are a new wearer then it does take a while for your eyes to get used to making extra moisture to keep them lubricated. Maybe try getting a regular rewetting drop like optive, blink,or renu. And then at night try to use gentile gel to lubricate really good at night. And also if you sleep under a fan that can cause dryness.Do not use visine or clear eyes cause they constrict blood vessels and you can become dependent on them.

Yes, maybe ur eye doc can give u a better answer.
