RGP contacts, how long have you kept the same pair?!

Question: I switched from disposible to RGPs and was wondering how long have people out there worn the same pair of RGPs and how often should they be replaced?

RGP's can be good easily for 6 to 8 years, if your Rx doesn't change.

I have 2 patients who have had the same lenses over 6 years now, and still in perfect condition.

I send them in to be repolished about every 2nd year, and they are fine.

Most people lose or break them before that...lol

I have not worn RGP myself in over 10 yrs but they should only be worn for 1 yr - same amount of time as your contact prescription is valid.
