How Do Contacts Pop Out?!

Question: One time I went to the pool and kept my contacts in and they didn't pop out.

I just went to the pool and I left my contacts in again.
After a while I enetered the pool and I opened my eyes under water.
I didn't realize that I had them in until I came home and all of the signs were blurry. How/why do they pop out? And why didn't they pop out the last time I went?

Contacts are always going to stick with the wetter surface. So if you keep your eyes open under water for a long time the contacts will simply come right off.

Just a precaution, it is very dangerous for your contacts to come in contact with water. Not only will your contacts absorb the chlorine in the pool, but they can also absorb a dangerous amoeba. This amoeba is very common in water and can do serious corneal damage. Water can also cause all the moisture to leave your contact. This will cause it to 'stick' to you eye. It becomes very difficult to remove and in some cases it can only be removed by a doctor. I experienced that las case when I took a shower with my contacts on. I had to have my doctor remove the contact.

The reason they popped out was simply because the first time your eyes had enough moisture... The second time you went in your prob were sitting out in the sun all day and had very dry eyes already ...
