Pressure around the eyes?!

Question: I have had very painful pressure around my eyes since I was 15 (I'm 19 now). I took Clariton-D and tylenol to make it bearable for a long time, but I have since moved and have been able to stop taking the medicine. However, the pressure is still there although thankfully it doesn't hurt as much and is more of an annoyance then anything. I have seen my optometrist about it several times and she has said my eyes are alright and that it's likely a congestion issue. I wear glasses and occasionally contact lenses if that makes a difference. Anyone else had these problems? If so, what was the cause and how did you deal with it?

That is very difficult to say, but it could very well be sinus problems. , and nothing to do with your eyes.

Sinus problems can give aches and pains in all different parts of the face making you think it is something else.

Recently I have started having sinus problems, and sometimes the whole side of my face swells, like it was a tooth problem. But one eye hurts, teeth hurt, the temple is very tender....

You may be experiencing the beginning of sinus trouble...mine started off slow like yours, with just a pressure around my eyes.

I tried several meds, the one that worked best for me is Advil for sinus pain.

Hope you can find the right treatment...good luck.

well ive had this before but it went away, i found out it was due to my computer screen, it wasnt adjusting to my eyes. and i was always on the computer which was bad. so maybe you too? on the comp too long and your eyes are tense:O hope that helps, try to close your eyes and massage your eyes for a bit.
there isnt much that you can do:( just close your eyes :) hope that helps a little :D

It could be sinus pressure around your eye. You have sinus cavaties around your eyes. After eye surgery i had major sinus pressure problems but usually it goes away. You may wanna go to your regular doctor as eye doctors only deal with the eyes and not the problems near the eye.
