Can I check if my computer glasses *really* ARE computer glasses or was I tricke!

Question: Some time ago I bought computer glasses, but I have (reasonably based) doubts that they don't have the protective layer which is supposed to make them computer glasses. I do feel the difference if I don't wear them, but I know that can be just psychological as all this time I have believed they ARE computer glasses and are helping reduce eye strain.
So, does anyone know if there is a way of checking if they really work? Is there a way of detecting the coating that is supposed to protect my eyes?

Computer glasses are lenses that are designed to focus at about arms length or the distance to your screen. That's what makes them computer glasses. Anything farther than that will be a big blur. Anti-reflective coatings are available to reduce eye strain and allow more light through the lenses to give you sharper vision. If this is what you are talking about, hold your glasses in front of you and see if you can see a light blue or green reflection on the lens. If so you may have the anti-reflective coating on them. Other than that you need nothing else on the lens. What is it you are worried you are not protected from?

you could ask your optition, im sure they'd know the difference. (sorry bout spellings)

I've never heard of computer glasses, did you get them from a proper company?

If you keep believing they are working maybe they will!

What are computer glasses? Never heard of that.

I admit this is new to me, too, but it does sound like these glasses are a type of reading glasses.
