Nope. Wear 'em when you wanna see.

There is no evidence that going without your glasses will damage your eyes in any way.

You should only wear them when you think you need them... defiantly wear them if you start to strain your eyes, that is the worst. Also, there is no point in buying contacts if you would rather wear glasses.

yes. glasses or contacts are supposed to be worn at all times so you can see, and so your prescription won't change, unless directed so.

First of all , brilliant answer by hojoman, thank god for people like him offering such stellar advice.

By wearing OR not wearing your glasses you will not ruin or improve your eyesight. You just don't see as clearly. I'm confused by your statement that your glasses are mainly for reading. Contacts usually are not used for reading corrections since the focal range is for about 18 inches. Sounds like your correction isn't all that strong if you can see well without them. You could always call the doctor's office that prescribed them and ask what the recommended use is for you based on the correction given. Many people have eyeglasses that are used part time, just for TV, driving, or reading.

Yeah, you probably will go blind. From what you've said here, it's it sounds like you'll poke out your eye with a fork somewhere down the line.
