The cornea is the clear "window" in the front of your eye. It protects the pupil and helps to focus the light coming into your eye. The colored part is called the iris.

If you doctor was concerned about your scratched cornea, he/she would have rushed you to the hospital instead of sending you home to your computer. :-) Corneas are rather easily scratched since they're right there on the front of your eyes. They also heal quickly.

Don't worry. You'll be okay.

you should have asked your doctor

cornea is the transparent part of the eye on the front of the eye, if it is scratched, it only leads to watering of the eye, hazy vision with pain of the eye, in this stage not treated properly it has Ti's own sequence to form ulcer and it can laed ti non tranparent part of the eye and leads to blind ness.-----------other wise in normal conditions the cornea performs the required refaction for the eye which is the real function for the eye.this is nothing to do with death of a person for this small scrar ch of the eye but it has good lot of reason for loss of vision.
