Thin sticky secretion in my eyes that itches?!

Question: the inside corners of my eyes ( beside my nose) itch alot and when i scratch them there is this thin sticky secretion that is making them itch. it is actually under the lid of my eye in the corner. sometimes hard to get to.
i do not have allergies. i do not have pink eye.
i do not have vision problems nor do i wear glasses or contacts and it is not eye boogers ( sleep in my eyes) or whatever you call it.
can anyone help me.

That is why I called my ophthalmologist a few days ago. He prescribed blephamide for an infection that he believes is a secondary infection from rubbing the eyes irritated by pollen (yeah, it's already Spring in the South). But the primary reason is an infection.
