Rip-Off of Frames?!
Question: I recently purchased 2 pairs of eyeglasses one versace and the other dolce&gabbana. I got them at lenscrafters and to my surprise the D&G frame said they where made in china unlike the versace which said they whee made in Italy. Their excuse was that D&G uses china as a producer/distributer. that logo alone makes them appear to be a knock-off eventhough i paid over $500.00 for each pair. I emailed Lenscrfters and hope to get an answer from Dolce&Gabbana but cant find where to email them. Help if you can with an address. What do u guys think is this right to be labled Made in China on a high priced named brand?

Yes, nearly all frames are made in China, including most of the 'designer' brands. Some are made in Italy or France, and almost none anywhere else.
Lenscrafters and many other optical chains are owned by Luxottica, a huge multinational Italian based company that also have the distribution rights to many of the designer brand frames including Dolce and Gabbana and Versace, which means they are hard to get elsewhere.
And since you bought them at LenCrafters, there's a chance that someone else owned and wore your frames before you did. You know their big 30-day frame return policy? Yeah, they put the returned ones BACK ON DISPLAY.
