It depends on what brand and wear length the contacts are. Freshlook and Acuvue 2 Colours 2 are $30ish per box of 6 lenses on 1800contacts.com; both brands are designed to be worn for 2 weeks. They are the cheapest colored contacts you can get. The prices go up from there, especially if you get the yearly wear colored contacts.

Even if the contacts you need don't have vision power in them, you do still need a prescription to get them. Contacts are always considered medical devices, regardless of the reason for someone wanting/needing them.

You will need to see an eye doctor for an eye exam and contact fitting. The contact fitting is very important. The eye doctor will measure your pupils to ensure that you get the right size of contacts. Not everyone has the same pupil size, so there is no "one size fits all" with contacts. If you get contacts that aren't the right size for you, it can cause discomfort, eye infections, and worse.

After your eye doctor has completed the exam/fitting, he/she will let you try out as many colors as you want, to see what colors work best for you. He/she will also train you in all the aspects of having contacts, like cleaning/storing, insertion/removal of contacts, etc. You'll be sent home with at least one trial pair, along with your prescription, so that you can order from anywhere online or at an eye doctor's office.

I wear the Freshlook Dimensions without vision power, and they are bi-weekly contacts. That means 14 days of wear, then toss them and change to a new pair. How long the ones you get are able to be worn is determined by the manufacturer and/or your eye doctor. Always follow his/her instructions on how long to wear them.

The cost of the contacts really depends on what kind of contact are you getting, like monthly, daily or fortnightly. The most expensive would be daily and the cheapest is monthly. For all details, information and remedies about contacts check out http://use-contactlens.blogspot.com/

all depends on the brand and how long they are for like dailies, weeklys, monthys, and sometimes you can wear it 24/7 for a week

I just want to add that wearing contacts without consulting an eye doctor first is quite dangerous. Even if they are non-prescription. Infection to the eye can set it, not learning how to clean them properly or insert them properly can be hazardous, you can end up losing eyesight and it's no joke. Please see an eye doctor first and get some tips.
