The brain still has optical nerves that try to "see". If the eye isn't working or not there, the the nerves will project back what it sees, which is darkness, since the eye is not functioning and everything is dark.

Just cause your eeys don't work or aren't there doesn't mean the brain shuts down that part of itself.

i think that they would see black...

They see nothing. Just blackness, and that's it. There obviously not going to see any colors.

i have one eye other glass ,, i see nothing but blackness in my glass eye

seeing is perception of the brain .,The eye is the channel.,
Even if the person has the normal eyes and if there is damage to 6 th cranial nerve that person cannot see anything and is blind.
So the person without the eye ball still perceives darkness

nothing..its all black..just shut your eyes and thats what you would see forever..creepy huh? and i imagine that when we die it would be like when we are asleep we wouldnt konw what happened..until we reach heaven!

People who are blind do see in there dreams.
