Place the contact lens on the tip of your index or middle finger. With the fingers and thumb of your other hand, simultaneously pull up on your upper eyelid and down on your lower eyelid.Position the lens on your eye while looking upward or forward. Roll your eyes in a complete circle to help the lens settle, then blink. For all details, information and remedies about contacts check out http://use-contactlens.blogspot.com/

make sure your eyeball is wetter than your finger and make sure you are not tring to put it in inside out

i just got contacts today and have the exact problem! its so hard.

I like to squeeze the contact between two fingers (my thumb and forefinger) until it looks like a wide taco shell, line it up with my pupil (I look in the mirror when I do it) and then drop it onto my eye. Usually there is a little airbubble trapped underneath that stays for about a second and then the contact sits down completely on my eye. If it doesn't, I give it a little push and the airbubble pops out.

I came up with this method because the contacts would *ALWAYS* curl back the other direction on my finger -- SO frustrating!! Meanwhile your eye is getting pissed at you for poking at it so many times, so it's watering, and you're getting later and later and more and more frantic to get the thing in and get going. Sigh. That still happens, sometimes, but this method works for me most days.
Good luck!! :)

what i do is i put the contact on my right index finger and put a bit of saline in it, and then with my left hand i hold my eye open and put in the contact lense. i keep my finger on the lense while i close my eye to make sure it doesnt fall out because of the saline.

I'm an optician, this is hard to tell you, not show you. Put the contact on your index finger at the tip. Put a small drop of solution in the contact. Hold your top eyelashes against your eyelid bone, with your other hand. Pull down the bottom lid with the middle finger of the hand you have the contact on. Place the lens on your eye, but do not close it. Move your eye around (without blinking, because you are holding your lids) so the lens will center on the cornia. Close your eye and pat your lid to get out bubbles. Then slowly open your eye, it should be in. The nost important thing is to keep your eyelids out of the way.
