What colored contacts should I get (picture)?!

Question: I want to enhance my eye color to a light green with just a tint of blue. Should I get freshlook dimensions in carribean aqua or in sea green to best achieve the color I want? Would the aqua mix with the green already in my eyes or would the sea green be enough to get my desired shade?

My hair is lighter now and my skin is tan but here is a picture of my eye color.

I wear both the Caribbean Aqua and the Sea Green, and have naturally green eyes with just a touch of brown on the inner edges. For me, the Caribbean Aqua makes my eyes appear a lot brighter, and adds a slight bluish-green hue to them. The Sea Green doesn't brighten my eyes much; it gives me a deeper darker green color. I like both colors, but my favorite is the Caribbean Aqua.

It's hard to say what color would work best for you. Colored contacts look different on each wearer, due to how they blend with your personal eye color. The effect is never the exact same on any two people. But if you're looking for a bluish-greenish color, I'd try the Caribbean Aqua. The Pacific Blue in the Dimensions line is also very pretty, but it'll just be plain blue, with no hint of green.

I'd recommend scheduling an eye exam and contact fitting with your eye doctor. Even if you don't need vision correction, you do still need a prescription to get colored contacts. Contacts are always considered medical devices, regardless of the reason someone wants/needs them. The fitting part is very important, because not everyone has the same pupil size- there is no "one size fits all" with contacts. Contacts that don't fit you properly can cause discomfort, eye infections, and worse. Once you get through with the exam/fitting, the eye doctor will let you try out as many colors as you like, so that you can see what colors work best for you. He/she will also train you in how to clean/store your contacts, how to insert/remove them, when to change to a new pair, etc. You will also get at least one trial pair in the color of your choice, and you'll get a copy of your scrip so that you can order your contacts online or at any eye doctor's office. I prefer to order online, because 1800contacts.com is a lot cheaper than pretty much all of the eye doctor's office. They have fast shipping as well; I usually get my contacts within 5 days or less.

I think you'll like the Dimensions line, if your pupils are the right size to be able to wear the Freshlook brand (the colored ones only come in 8.6/14.5 with Freshlook). I love mine, and they actually look really natural, since they are more of an enhancer, rather than colored contacts that offer complete color change.

Acuvue 2 Colours also has some pretty enhancer-style colored contacts, and they come in sizes 8.3/14.0 and 8.7/14.0, so if you can't wear the Freshlook ones, you may be able to wear the Acuvues.

just go to any optician ... he wil show u how each color will look on his computer....

I got a fright when I saw your first picture your eyes looked so scary but it did make me laugh, the last picture your eyes look lovely that colour blue, go for blue colour eyes not green.

get enhancers
in the color Carribean Blue

It's hard to say because the colors will look different against your eye color. I think your color is already really pretty.

If you really want a change though then you're better off going blue because green shaded lenses actually make you see everything in a yellow tint....seriously, they do!

They have samples for you to try out at the optometrist.

Have fun!
