Lenscrafter frames?!
Question: Does anyone know if Lenscrafters uses the frames on display to make the glasses or do they order a new pair of frames for you?

They usually use the ones on the display . They often manufacture the lenses there. If they are special ordering a lens, sometimes they also special order the frame. One exception would be drill mounts (frameless). Those are always special ordered at lenscrafters
They give you new frames, they ones on display are only used for that purpose - as display.
If they are making your glasses in the store they are the ones on display. Yep, the ones many other people could have tried on. If they are sending them out to be made, most likely a new frame.
They use the frames on display if your lenses are finished in the store. I often wondered when I worked at Lenscrafters what they did with all of the frames people brought back within 30 days. They would have us remove the lenses and return the frames to the home office
