What happened to my eye???!

Question: This morning, I put in my contact lenses, and they're fairly new, they're the monthly disposables, and i just put in a new pair 3 days ago. My problem is, this morning, I put in my lenses, my eyes were fine, I went to work, and when I was working in the back area (I work with a lot of cardboard boXes) my right eye got itchy, I went into the bathroom, and my eyes was red. It was all red, but it was clear this morning. What could have caused this??? I put in eyedrops and it stung really bad, I had to go home. What could have caused this redness and how can I prevent it again??? my eyes are clear again; I went home, put in some visine, and had a nap. What made my eye super red, and how can I prevent this from happening???

Something may have gotten into your eye, or maybe just dust from the cardboard boxes. If it cleared up so soon, it was probably just dust irritation or allergies. Visine isn't the best thing for your eyes. If it happens again and doesn't clear up, you may want to go to the optometrist.

money shot maybe or a pearl necklace gone horribly wrong.

Maybe consider wearing protective eye wear at work. I'm sure there is a lot of dust floating around and it probably irritated your eyes. Or, keep a bottle of contact solution with you and if your eyes become irritated, take out your contacts and clean them.

sounds like some dust got into it. next time wear googles. and if it gets irratated then just rinse your eye with clean WATER. if that doesn't help then see the eye doctor.

I would say an allergy, probably caused from dust
