Is it possible to get contacts that make my eyes blue if I dont have a prescript!

Question: I have perfect sight, but I want blue eyes (I have brown). Will the eye doctor do this for me, or would I have to go somewhere else to get them? Or even, is this even possible? and how much would something like this cost (about)?

Yes, you can get colored contacts. All brands that offer colored contacts make them with and without vision power. I wear the Freshlook Dimensions, and I don't need any vision correction.

Your eye doctor will be able to write you a scrip for the colored contacts. Even if you don't need vision correction, you still need the scrip. Contacts are always considered medical devices, regardless of why someone wants/needs them. All you will have to do is have a simple eye exam to verify whether you do or don't need vision correction, and then have your pupils measured by the eye doctor to ensure you get the right size of contacts. After that, the eye doctor will let you try on as many colors as you like, so you can see which colors you like. He/she will also train you on how to properly care for contacts (cleaning/storing, insertion/removal, when to change to a new pair, etc). You'll also be sent home with a trial pair in the color of your choice, and your scrip, so that you can order online or at any eye doctor's office. I order my contacts from 1800contacts.com (MUCH cheaper than the eye doctors' offices, and they have really fast shipping too).

I had my exam and contact fitting at a Wal-Mart Vision Center. My total was $91 (I don't have vision insurance), and that included the exam/fitting, one trial pair of the Freshlook Dimensions, a starter kit with solution and contact case, and my scrip. I was very satisfied with the service I received at my Wal-Mart Vision Center, and it was a lot cheaper than what my regular eye doctor wanted for the same exam; they told me it would be $200 for the exact same procedure. So I'll definitely continue going to the Wal-Mart Vision Center when I need something done for my eyes!

You could always call a few local eye places to see who has a good deal in your area.

As for the prices on colored contacts, the price varies a lot. The cheaper brands of colored contacts are Freshlook and Acuvue 2 Colours; the 2 week wear contacts in both brands are $30ish per box of 6 lenses on 1800contacts.com. The prices go on up from there, depending on brand, length of time they can be worn, etc. You can look at the colored contacts 1800contacts.com offers to get a good idea of pricing as well.

The brands that you will be able to wear will depend on your personal pupil measurements that the eye doctor will give you at your exam.

yah you can get 'fashion' contacts just google it.

However they will do nothing for your eyesight (won't correct your vision) and are pricey too -
