I'm having surgery on my eye....should I be worried?!

Question: I'm very scared. The surgery is in a couple hours...ahhhhhhh! I got kicked in my eye...broke two muscles and cheek bone. I dont have to have the surgery, but if I dont my eye will drop and I may lose my vision eventually on my eye...what should I do...is it worth it...How is waking up after surgery like. What if I dont wake up. Will someone help me please...thankyou!

Yes, it is pretty scary to have your eyes operated on but the benefits are well worth it.
I've had 3 eye operations and they turned out great.
Trust your doctors and you will be fine.

not if you're in America with a certified doctor you shouldn't. It'll be alright. It's much better to have surgery than to lose your eyesight! Of course you will wake up, they know what they're doing! No worries!

the doctors have spent eleven gruelling years studing the art of making you better. dont worry.

It is not as bad as you think it is going to be. Just relax.

If they suggest the eye surgery, then i would take it rather than gradually losing the vision of that eye.

Waking up after sugery is a little strange, you may feel a little pain (not too much, dont worry.) and you will feel tired from the sleeping stuff, lol.

but thats all.

good luck :)

yes, you'll be fine. ever had your wisdom teeth out? pretty much the same. if it hurts afterward, you'll get pain meds.

they almost certainly won't eff up, but if they do... you can always SUE THE PANTS OFF OF THEM! and never work again. :)

but seriously, don't be scared. any risk involved is worth taking over losing your eyesight and having a droopy eye. if you don't go for it now, later when your face is deformed and you can't see, you will wish you had.

I just had eye surgery, I"m not trying to scare you, but my experience they didn't put me under all the way, I just had my muscle tightened in my eye and felt everything that went on toward the end of it, You do wake up , and you make get nausea's afterward but you will still have your sight. Make sure they put you under all the way. Good Luck to you

Good luck with the op
