How long approx. does it take for eye surgery recovery?!

Question: How long will I be kept on the hospital?

Answers: How long will I be kept on the hospital?

Depends on the type of surgery. Many eye surgeries are out-patient, meaning you can go home within a few hours.

I've had three eye operations - two cataracts and a detached retina - and left the hospital the same day every time.

The vast majority of the recovery will be spent at home, and it can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Again, it depends on what was done. The doctor will provide instructions as to what you can and cannot do during that time.

I agree - it depends on the type of surgery. What operation are you wondering about?

old system of extraction of lens requires a 6to 7 days stay in hospital --the recent phaco emulsification less than 12 hours sent home

Which surgery?

Some are day surgery, some are overnight in hospital, some are several days in hospital.

Some recover by the next day, some take a year.

Ask your surgeon, who is the only person who can supply the correct answer.
