The fact that the lenses are colored really does not add any significant problem or risk greater than clear contact lenses. Correctly fitting contact lenses work very well for a vast majority of people who wear them.

Sometimes people who wear opaque, colored contact lenses are aware of decreased peripheral vision, but this is rare and does not occur with tinted lenses.
