It sounds like you might have "Computer Vision Syndrome." There are things you can do to relieve it but you really should go have an eye exam if you haven't had one recently--you really can't be diagnosed online.

When you go, ask the doc what you should be doing when you use the computer. Or look it up on-line and start them even before your appointment. If it is CVS, depending on your age, a few simple habit changes may be all you need to take care of the problem.

Hurry up to eye specialist. You don't have diabetes. But vision problem.

I suggest to see a doctor.
The change of your jobs might be one of the reasons. Since I'm also working at a computer my eyes have changed.
And it is normal that eyes change during your life.
You might need glasses.

Do you check your blood pressure when this happens? This happened to me and I had high BP.

But an eye exam would be best.

Hmm. I would strongly suggest checking with an eye doctor to get an accurate picture of what's going on.

You may have a new or worsening refractive error, in which case you will need to see an eye doctor and get a pair of prescription glasses. Even with prescription glasses, the below tips might help make your computer use more comfortable.

You may also have a simple thing called asthenopia, or eye strain. This one is pretty easy to combat! Increase the font size on your computer so that you can comfortably read it siting straight back in your chair, not leaning in. Every thirty minutes of computer use, look out a window or out into the office at a far away object, and focus on it for a minute, before resuming your task. Computer use also affects your blink rate, so you might be more comfortable if you use OTC eye drops (get lubricant drops, not the ones meant to treat red eye, which may make things worse!)
