Answers: they are a pain in the butt to get in , but not getting out . no they dont hurt .

yes and no
I have worn contacts since I was 14 and have no problem with them. I would never go back to glasses again.
My son, hates contacts, they irritate his eyes. He has tried countless of times and they just don't work for him.
Everyone has there own opinion. Try them, if they don't irritate your eyes, I say no they are not a pain in the butt, and they do not hurt. There are many advantages to contacts. You can see all not just straight ahead. And your face looks real, and hair even looks better.
I only like glasses if they can make them look like a cool pair of sunglasses.
Good Luck, I think you would love them.

only if you put them there

contacts can be a pain in the but when you are first starting using them. but after u get use to them they get easier and easier to use. they don't normally hurt. unless you got something on them like a bit of dust or if they're ripped

they can be a really big pain but no they dont hurt

They are a pain in the but, but they are worth it. Glasses suck. They don't hurt, as long as you keep them clean so they don't get bacteria on them and infect your eyes.
I would recommend contacts over glasses any time.

yes and no. Lasik surgery is 100% better.

They can be a pain, in that you always have to be prepared if you're not going to be going to your own place to take them out at night (so you have to bring solution and case with you). I know some people have ones where they've been told it's fine to leave them in for certain periods of time, but personally, I never really trusted that, and always took mine out at night. Also, if you're swimming, it's a pain to not be able to wear them in the water. They shouldn't hurt, though. If they do, something's wrong. All this considered, I'd take contacts over glasses any day.
I've since then had LASIK, which is hands-down better than either contacts or glasses.

Contacts are a pain and do hurt when you first put them in, but your eyes get used to them after about two weeks and they dont hurt after that, unfortunatly they are easy to lose and most people dont want them because they take matanance to prevent scratches and pain, you might want to talk to the person who checks your eyes about lasac eye surgery, after that you wont have any problems ever again, but if you dont want to risk lasac, i reccomend contacts.

i hope this helped, =)

I have had contacts since I was in junior high (I am now 21).
When I got mine, they did not hurt at all. I'm sure it depends on the person and the type of lens you get

The worst problems I have had with them are at the end of the day when they are dry (this does not hurt but is irritating), but as soon as i moisten them with my contact solution, they are fixed.

I used to have contacts that I had to take out every night. That's kind of a pain because I'm tired at the end of the day. I recently got contacts that I can sleep in for about a week at a time. They are great. Your optomitrist will recommend the best ones to start you out.

If your eyes are healthy and you don't have allergies, you will do great with contacts. If you have allergies, contacts may need to be removed when your eyes are irritated. Ask you eye doctor if they are right for you.

Contacts do not hurt unless you get something in your eye, if they are torn/old, irritated from allergies, or if they are in wrong. (Yes you can put them in wrong. Your doctor will show you how.)

P.S. You can still wear your glasses any time you want.

No, contacts will not hurt if they have been fitted for your eyes, and you take good care of them (cleaning/storing correctly, changing to a new pair as directed, etc). They can be a little irritating when you first get them, but usually that is just your eyes getting adjusted to wearing them. It can take some people up to 2 weeks for their eyes to get used to wearing contacts, but after that it should be smooth sailing. They are very comfortable once you get used to wearing them; I can hardly tell I'm wearing mine anymore. I was very lucky; it only took my eyes a couple days to adjust to contacts.

Contacts aren't really that aggravating; you just have to be sure to keep them clean, and change to a new pair according to the contact lens maker or your eye doctor. The cleaning isn't that hard to do, especially if you get the no-rub solutions. With them, all you have to do is rinse each side of the contact for 5 seconds with the solution, fill up your contact case with solution, drop the lenses in the case, and let them soak til you are ready to wear them again. If you get a solution that says you need to rub the lenses, all you have to do with that is just put a couple drops of solution in your palm and rub each side of the contact for 10 seconds from inside to outer edges, then rinse each side of the lens for 5 seconds with solution before putting them in the contact case.

If your eyes ever get dry, you can buy eye drops that are safe for use while wearing contacts, and they will help add some extra moisture. Dryness is usually the main reason that someone's contacts might start to feel a little uncomfortable during the day.

Your eye doctor will explain everything you need to know if you decide to schedule an appointment to see about getting contacts. He/she will train you on cleaning/storing your contacts, when to start wearing a new pair, etc. Be sure to ask any questions you might have too...it's your eyes, and the more you know the better off you will be.

Contacts are a lot easier and more comfortable to wear than glasses, as long as you are ready for the responsibility of taking care of your contacts properly.
