Basically it is a prescription for curvature. The lenses will bring the light to a focus on the retina and give him the ability to see, and for the first time clearly. Get him the glasses, it's the only way to clear up his vision. Those who propose exercises are way off base. It's important for your son to see clearly for his development. Depending on what sign, + or -, is in front of the numbers will determine how they look. If it is a +4.50 then it will be thicker in the middle and make his eyes look larger than they are. If -, then it will be thicker on the edge and reduce slightly the size of his eyes. Hopefully when he sees how clear everything looks he will wear them, kids sometimes can be difficult about wearing their glasses. The glasses may bring his vision up to 20/20 but some kids cannot be corrected fully until age 5 or so. So he may see 20/30 or 20/40. Uncorrected you would have to check with the doctor what his visual acuity is.

Uncorrected, about 20/400. However, unless your doctor said otherwise, his vision is probably 20/20 or 20/30 corrected. Refractive errors are usually and thankfully quite easy to correct, so he will have relatively normal vision with his glasses on.

This power is too much for a 3 yr old
My daughter was 6 whem she started wearing glasses
and her power was 2.5and 2.0,it whent on increasing and the doctor asked her to take more carrots and spiniach if you are a veg or fish ,meat eggs are very important.
PLZ take care of him and give him carrot juice and iron, proreins as it will go on increasing

How does TEC know that the kid will be able to see clearly for the first time without having examined the patient?
