You should clean your contacts everyday. When you take them out make sure you put them in clean solution every night and every morning clean them again by rubbing them in your palm with clean solution. If you look at it closly after you take it out you will notice how dirty it is.

I have continuous wear contacts where I can leave mine in for a month, i even sleep in them. After a month i take them out and throw them away and wear glasses for 2-3 days, I then put fresh contacts in. I have been doing this for 4 years and opticians are ok with it.
