I can't wear contact lenses for more than 2 hours. Help!?!

Question: i've been wearing Bausch & Lomb PureVision contact lesnes for a while now. prior to using this brand i've worn some other brands of contact lenses, and my eyes just get incredibly dry & uncomfortable after two hours of wearing them. i told my optometrist about it, he prescribed me PureVision and told me this brand shouldn't cause dryness to my eyes. but no, it happens again. :( i have dry eyes i think naturally. :( i have to use artificial tears (Tears Naturale) even when i'm not wearing contacts.

any advise? thank you!

You probably need some dry eye treatment such as punctual plugs, prescription eye drops, supplements or other treatment possibilities. Ask your eye doctor about this. Whatever the treatment route you go you need something that will retain or increase quality and/or quality of tears. Many people with severe dry eyes have been successful by these options even though regular eye drops dry out very quickly. I don't think any new contact is going to fix your problem. You need to treat your dry eye.

yeah. Do your eyes get red too?

Mine do. They get dry and uncomfortable and red. :-( I hate how they get red!!!!

Well my advice to you is to just stop wearing contacts. You can keep using eyedrops to make your eyes wetter but I don't think that contacts are good for you

Glasses are nice too. :-) Don't worry. And there are so many different types of nice glasses to choose from.

Good luck!

Some people just can't wear contacts, and you appear to be one of them.
Stick to glasses, or go get the laser surgery.

Glasses?
