What happens if you open your eyes underwater with contacts in?!

Question: do they fall out? do they go in the back of your eyes?

Answers: do they fall out? do they go in the back of your eyes?

It is a bad, bad idea to wear your contacts near any water they might come in contact with. In the case of the pool, even getting close to the pool can damage your contacts from the fumes forever- to say nothing of actually putting them in contact with that water. It's dangerous, don't do it.

You die.

yikes. you might lose the contacts, or the chemicals in the pool or salt in the ocean will DEFINITELY dry out your contacts. they might stay on or up in the corners of your eyes, but i wouldn't take that risk. best to wear goggles with your contacts in, or there are even prescription goggles out there! either way, bad idea. i'm speaking from experience!

I do not believe they will go in the back of your eye, but I do think they may fall out or move to a farther part in your eye.
But once you're out from underwater, you may experience irritation or discomfort (from chlorine),
so your best bet would be to take them out before swimming. HTH!
