What the on earth is wrong with my eyes?!

Question: I've been having vision changes. I used to see heat waves, then my vision become static-. Sometimes I go blind for a moment. But when I go "blind" All I see is flashes of bright color. It only lasts for three seconds, then my vision is normal. Its very rare when this happened. Last time it happened was about a month ago. I'm in my young teens years now. (13-15.) Plus I've been getting chonic headaces, sometimes it mild and sometimes it just awful. Plus excuse any mistakes.

Sounds like migraines, welcome to the club :) Start keeping track of when you see the lights or messed up vision, and see if it coincides with a headache. That way you can kind of tell when one is coming on. If the headaches are bad, you can also see a dr. they have prescriptions for them. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to see the dr. anyway to rule everything else out. I get those heat wave things and color flashes few other weird things as well. It's common to have vision changes/see lights with migraines. Migraines are also common in teen girls as well, hormones....

nothing

might be high blood pressure

go to a opthamaologist

this might be a case for House MD

See an eye doctor.

GO TO A DOCTOR !!!!!!!!

Talk to your optometrist and your family doctor--it doesn't sound normal or healthy to be experiencing these.

How old are you know?

See a doctor immiediently! It could be serious if your expereincing blindness and chronic headaches.

I agree with tikitiki, it sounds like migraines. You might have what's called an ocular migraine, it effects your vision a great deal.

This is symptoms of a classic migraine. The visual distrubances you are seeing are the ocular effects of the migraine. These ocular effects usually precede the headaches. So when you get these ocular effects be ready for the migraine to hit. Migraines usually onset in the teen years so what you are describing is a classic migraine. If your migraines are unbearable, you need to see a doctor to get some meds for pain control.
