New RGP contact wearer-why does my vision fluctuates?!

Question: Ok I know my tears vary and probably are changing my vision, but I'm wondering why I see better when I blink rapidly. For instance I can read stuff far away but when I blink rapidly It looks darker and more clear. I also see sharper when my eyes water. Is this because I was slightly undercorrected? I mean I got these a couple of days ago so its doubtful my vision is worse. Or could it be that my eyes are drying up and they are they are the correct refraction?

You are going through an adjustment period, so give it time. In the mean time, yeah, dry eyes are remarkably common and soothed by the fluid-spreading motion of blinking. If you want to keep your contacts hydrated, buy a bottle of contact-friendly eye drops and use them whenever you're uncomfortable. You can also take your contacts out for fifteen or so minutes and put them in cleaning solution, which would serve the same purpose.
