Its actually a myth that what you see is black . The colour is grey.

possible pitch black but you would have to ask a blind person

it will be black...just close your eyes and u cant see anything ....thats how a blind perosn sees

it depends how blind they are. Most blind poeple it is black, its only grey if your clolour blind. but depending on how blind u are u can still see the outside of objects and fague shapes. but its like when u sleep u wont notice it

It would be grey. My friend is going blind and that is the colour that she see's.

I was born with complete achromatopsia, which essentially means that I only see the world in shades of white/grey/black.

Later in life, I developed optic atrophy, or deterioration of the nerve that sends things from the eye to the brain, which leads to things called 'scotomas' or 'blind spots'. ONA can eventually lead to complete blindness, although I still have some of my vision- about 20/2800. I have no central vision whatsoever, and some various other smallish spots and general field restriction.

My blind spots aren't any particular colour, save for the ones my mind might try and fill in. It's not like some big black band on your vision- it's just a part that isn't, in the same way you can't see what's behind your head. It's not.. anything at all, it just isn't. Like, if I look over text (using high-level magnification) and I can see it all right, but when I look down directly at it, it simply stops existing- it is out of the realm of my understanding.

I hope that helps.

Being blind means your vision is so poor that you cannot easily perform your job or day to day tasks. Only a very small percentage of people who are registered blind cannot see anything at all. Most people who are "blind" can see what you and I see but just very, very blurred, even if they use glasses. Sometimes they only have small areas of vision, the rest is blank.

As for someone who is completely blind and sees nothing at all, they cannot tell you what they see because colour is perspective, if they've never seen colour how can they say what they are seeing?
