Can you safely soak contact lenses in water intead of solution overnight?!

No, the ph content is wrong..water is harsh and
the solutiuon is balanced.

Plus pure H2O might damage your contacts.

    Water will do nothing to clean the lens and keep them bacteria-free. You risk infecting your eyes.

    It is never a safe thing to do...but if you are really stuck and have no solution, boil the water first...and use bottled water preferably. Let it cool off to room temp before putting your lenses in it of course.

    At least that will save your lenses for the night, but then they have to be disinfected before you wear them again or you can risk some nasty infections.

    no, I wouldn't do that. I tried that once and had a heck of a time getting the contact back in my eye. It was quite uncomfortable.

    No, it will damage them and make them feel like sandpaper, and turn them yellow.
