What type of contact lenses are these?!
Question: I'm getting contacts.
I'm nearsighted and the eye doc said that the contacts he's gonna give me (receiving them next week) will help slow me down getting even more nearsighted.
he also said that they're hard and will feel like a grain of sand in my eyes until i get used to them.
the secretary also said that they're half hard, half soft(?) but im not sure if shes right.
so which contacts am i getting? i've got a site but not sure which one

they are probably the gas permable lenses ask your eye doctor about them in your next apointment

There are many brands it could possibly be. Usually extended wear contacts monthlies or yearlies are soft/hard.
Call your doctors office in the morning and ask them. There are hundreds of types of contact lenses. It sounds like a rigid gas permeable lens to me. Was anyone with you during your exam? Maybe you should have someone with you when you pick up the contacts so they can help you remember the specifics of your contacts. Also, you were probably charged for the contacts... look on your billing statement and I bet it has the type of lens on it.
