Can't find my contacts in my eyes is it dangerous?!

Question: I forgot and fell asleep with my contacts, completely forgot about them, it's been 5 days, what should I do?

If it was in there for 5 days...you would know it for sure.

If your eye isn't all red and hurting like the dickens...the lens isn't there.

The only place it could go would be under your top eyelid...it can't go any farther than that.

You lost them already.

They probably fell out of your eyes when you were sleeping and are no longer on your eyes. If they were stuck in there you would definitely be able to feel it. Check with your eye doctor to be sure.

If it's still in your eyes, trying rolling your eyes around, and maybe it'll come back up front. Or maybe they fell out while you were sleeping.
And if they are still in there, then you should see a doctor, you might need it like surgically removed or something.

Good Luck!

Are they still on your eyes or have they "disappeared"? If they definitely aren't on your eyes (ie you can't see and there is nothing to slide off), they may have fallen out while you were asleep, or possibly slid off and are in the back of your eyes. Both of these are kinda unlikely if your lenses were fitted properly, but theoretically possible. You can try lifting your eyelids and looking in the mirror to see if anything is there. Be sure to check your lower lids as well. If there is nothing, I wouldn't worry about it unless you develop an eye infection-- in which case go see your dr. In general though if a lens goes back into your eye, your tears will naturally wash it out to the corner of your eye if you are patient. You can try making yourself cry or using eye drops if you think this is the case-- worth a try at any rate. You could also try rubbing your eye a bit in the direction of the outside corner to encourage it to migrate out, especially if it feels like there is something in your eye. if all else fails and you are still worried, go see your eye dr.

they probably fell out of your eyes while you were asleep. if they are still in your eyes you will be able to feel them, because they would be so dried out from being in your eyes for 5 days. see if they are still in your bed.

Well my optitionist said to me if the contacts ever tears in your eye and u cant get it out or u are having any other problems that if the opticians is open go there but it it isnt you should go straight to the eye hospital.

hope this helps

they may have fell out . can u see that will tell u. sometimes they can get stuck in the back of your cornea and scratch it. U should go to ur ophthamaogist ASAP just to make sure . Good luck!

I agree with everyone else.
Your case isn't severe, but minor

I listen to one of my friend's conversation she said that her uncle fell asleep while wearing his contacts the next thing he knew it won't come out, it appear that it was sticked to his eye already they were taken out through operation.........you better go and let the doctor check

I'm having a similar problem. I know the contacts are in though, but I can't get them out. I'm going up to the drug store to see if they have any of those contact remover tweeser things, if not, then I'm going to my eye doc.

I suggest you do the same.
