Now a days, glassed are big news. You will in time be a teenager then you can get contacts.. Until then, love yourself and do your very best in school.
Thank goodness you are able too. Your grades too, should get better.

don't worry about it, don't let it bug you.
You probably have another 3-4 years before contacts will be recommended. What is it about the glasses? Perhaps they need some adjustment to make them more comfortable or if they are older, from your last exam, they may be getting small on you. I see that a lot where parents want to save money and put lenses into old frames that are no longer the right size.
Glasses are very fashionable right now. Check out some new frames. Take along a digital camera or cell phone camera and take pics with a lot of different frames. Share the pics with your friends and have fun picking out something fun.
Being ready for contacts isn't as much about age as it is about being ready for the awesome responsibility of taking care of something that important to your visual health. You might have your parents talk to your eye doctor for a recommendation on when it will be ok for you to try contacts.
Til then, though, get some really cool frames.
Glasses aren't bad. Get a really cute, stylish pair. The smaller, the better.
