Tanning Bed Helped Eye Sight???!
Question: This is kinda weird, over the last year and a half I have been using a tanning bed here and there and a lot of times I haven't been using the protective goggles to minimize the lines around my eyes. Anyways I recently had an eye exam to get new contacts and my eye doctor said that my perscription (eye vision) had gotten better, was -4.50 and now was -4.25. I was under the impression that my eyes would be much worse for all the unprotected tanning I had done. HHHHMMMMM

Please Don't think the tanning bed helped your vison. It can cause you to lose your eye sight later on. I recommend you always use your tanning goggles. Many people have burned the inside of their eye ball every year due to to wearing their protective goggles. Trust me I used to work in a tanning salon seen it happen to many times. I hope you will listen.

Thats wierd the ppl i know who have done thats eyes got worse I never heard of tanning bed making your vision beter but then again who knows
It has nothing to do with the tanning bed. Eye sight naturally changes, better or worse. However, you might have damage later on in life since UV rays are VERY harmful to eyes. I use to not wear goggles either, but I'm sure it will catch up with us when we are 40! :)
there is no proof. i thought going to the tanning bed made your eyesight worse. only because when i went tanning my vision got worse

I think they make you wear the goggles to prevent eye cancer, not to prevent your vision from deteriorating.
Your sight has just gotten better on it's own, or you did a better job at guessing the letters on the wall this time.
No, a differneces of 0.25 to 0.50 degree is normal.
