Focus Day and Nights - cleaning every night?!

Question: I see good comments about these contacts (allowing very high levels of oxygen to the eye) . They are continuous wear but some people say that wearing contact at night is not healthy. Can Focus day and nights be taken out every night and cleaned (with hydrogen peroxide solution)?

Yes they can just like any other contact lens. Hydrogen peroxide is not used terribly often these days as there are many other more convenient options, however it is sometimes used for people who have a sensitivity to multipurpose solutions. They are excellent contact lenses - developed in Australia :)

yes you can take them out and clean them everynight....its best to clean them daily, that way your eyes wont get infected in anyway.

Calcium deposits can build up on them if you don't clean them.

Yes do remove them at nite and change with normal solution but not hydrogen peroxide. It is too strong for the lenses

Hi,
you can take hem out at night and clean them.
Most lenses you HAVE to do this, obv not if they are daily ones though, if you didnt clean them every night you would contract infections etc, but the focus day and night lenses are deigned to be worn "day and night" which means its not necessary to clean them every night. Although there is no need to clean them every night, there is no harm in doing so, although i would reccomend using an all in one solution rather than a peroxide solution as these arnt used much anymore unless people need them due to allergies and things, good luck xxx

Please take your contacts out and clean them nightly. I have seen too many infections from overnight contact lens use. optometrists will sell the extended wear lenses to make money but its the Ophthalmologist who sees the problems.

My OPTHAMOLOGIST has me wearing the focus day and night and I'm perfectly fine to wear them for the 30 days as suggested. You CAN take them out and clean them - but the contacts are made a bit differently and allow extra oxygen to the eye, which helps to keep the deposits from happening as quickly.

I wouldn't use Hydrogen Peroxide to clean them though, that's a bit rough and will wear down the lens very quickly.
